Expanding in the Ever-Changing Hospitality Market
Gaucho Urbano
Above all other similarities, there are two key things our firm has in common with our hospitality industry clients: high standards in quality and a service-oriented culture. Because of these things, we’re more than just designers and architects to these clients, we’re partners in an alliance that runs on strong service.
Serving Up Success in the Hospitality Market
Much like any great hospitality company, we strive to provide our clients with the highest quality service possible. From food service and hotels to specialty companies, we’ve worked on a wide variety of projects in this industry. Our team has partnered with hospitality clients across the nation on designing new hotels and restaurants or upgrading existing structures to better align with their markets and brands.
In addition to our client work experience, we also have unique first-hand experience regarding what works best in this industry. In his spare time, George owns and operates a successful restaurant in Knoxville. The perspective this ownership offers the firm is invaluable to clients because it provides one-of-a-kind insight into what hospitality actually means today.

What Makes a Hospitality Project Successful
To us, success is defined as helping business owners better understand their offerings and heightening their brand’s perceived value, as well as their overall experience with us. Ultimately, we’re here to help improve the business’s sales, and that starts with understanding the importance of the image.
For prospective clients in this industry, our advice is to look at what you do best and showcase it! Show your customers how you can help them or make them feel better in some way. Most of the time, the hospitality industry is about having fun and staying relevant, so don’t be afraid to put your best value forward.
What We’ve Learned So Far
After working hard in the field, we’re proud of what we’ve learned so far. One project we’re particularly proud of is our work with Guacho Urbano, a Brazilian steakhouse that came to us with the goal of bringing a modern take on traditional Brazilian cuisine to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.
For this project, the client wanted a unique dining experience where guests feel welcomed and excited by the festive atmosphere. But there was one challenge in particular: combining East Tennessee aesthetic with Brazilian culture to create one cohesively-designed space. It’s no easy feat… but our firm was up to the challenge. With the help of Richardson Turner Construction and our in-house team of consultants, we began the design process.
From special details like the entryway and dining space to perfecting basic necessities like the restrooms, every piece of material used in this process was carefully handpicked and reviewed by our team. The most exciting part of the process was making the strategic decision to place the grill portion of the kitchen out front, so guests can visually experience the open-flame, Brazilian style of cooking.
Though this project came with its own unique challenges, we had a lot of fun bringing the clients’ vision to life. To learn more about our design process on this one, check out our complete case study on Guacho Urbano (and the restaurant itself, if you’re in the area).
