Monia Fregonese
Architectural Associate
Originally from Italy, Monia brings international perspective and a passion for sustainable architecture to every project she touches. After completing both her Bachelor’s in Architectural Science and a Master’s degree in Sustainable Architecture at the IUAV University of Venice, she spent several years working in the UK, where she was part of the team behind the Shakespeare North Theatre in Liverpool, one of her most rewarding projects to date.
Monia moved to the United States in 2020, first to New Mexico and then to East Tennessee in 2022, following her husband’s career in science. Now based in Oak Ridge with her family, she enjoys hiking, gardening, and traveling — especially with her energetic two-year-old son.
At the office, Monia is known for her collaborative mindset, creative approach, and deep appreciation for thoughtful, efficient design. Moving forward, she’s excited to put her stamp on East Tennessee architecture and beyond, with a special focus on sustainable building solutions as the need arises on projects.
