What We’re Looking Forward to in 2025
Heading into the new year, our team at George Armour Ewart, Architect is reflecting on how far we’ve come and what’s ahead for the firm and clients we serve.
With exciting projects in the works, new challenges, and an anniversary milestone that will be here before we know it, 2025 is set to be a year of innovation, growth, and meaningful work at GAEA. Here’s a glimpse into what we’re most excited about as we move into the future…
Bringing Immersive Designs to Life
One of our proudest moments in 2025 will be the openings of the Truth Traveler projects in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee and Branson, Missouri, immersive virtual reality experiences developed by Answers in Genesis (AiG), which operates the Ark Encounter theme park. These VR experiences are shaping up to set a new standard for tourism attractions through cutting-edge theming by Kingdom Productions and a state-of-the-art building design — all created to help bring the stories to life.
Slated to open in late spring, both Truth Traveler locations promise to deliver mind-blowing customer experiences for visitors. Seeing these ambitious projects come to fruition is a testament to the creativity and dedication of everyone involved, and it’s sure to be a highlight of our upcoming year along with other projects.
Evolving with Changes in Architecture & Design
Like many industries, architecture and design are ever-evolving, and in 2025, we’re embracing the opportunities presented by the latest International Building Code (IBC) updates and other 2024 regulations adopted by the City of Knoxville.
“These changes will open new doors for designing spaces that not only meet but exceed our clients’ expectations, and we’re eager to see how the advancements elevate the functionality, safety, and overall experience of the spaces we create.” – Stuart Anderson, Project Architect
When we asked Stuart and other members of our team to sum up their outlook on the coming year in just one word, their responses reflected the dynamic culture at our firm. Words like “excel” and “innovative,” “grow” and “thrive,” capture the energy and enthusiasm that drives our team to achieve greatness. Whether it’s each person’s specialized expertise or our collective perseverance in the face of creative challenges, this team has truly set the stage for a year that’s as productive and rewarding as it is fun!
Reflecting on 29 Years of Excellence
Another reason 2025 is set to be a great year? It marks GAEA’s 29th year in business. As our third decade in the architecture and design world nears, we’re proud of the legacy we’ve built and the opportunities that lie ahead — but we know we couldn’t get to this point alone.
Approaching a milestone anniversary is a reminder of the many clients, colleagues, partners, and neighbors who’ve played a role in our growth over the years. As we close out 2024, we want to thank everyone for trusting us with your visions, collaborating with us on meaningful projects, and supporting our journey thus far.
Wishing you happy holidays and a prosperous New Year!
– Team Ewart
